Challenge:

A local technological firm had constructed a control temperature room which was positioned on top of a section of factory floor which was poured with a low spot causing a void beneath the control temperature room. The room had been shimmed to level but a ¾” void remained beneath.

Solution:

Raise Rite found that the problem could be fixed using the RaiseRite Technique (RRT) of using HMI’s RR501 5 lb. high density polyurethane. This polyurethane material was injected in a liquid state, then expanded to fill the voids and keep the shims in place that were supporting the room before the polyurethane was injected.

RaiseRite successfully filled the void under the control temperature room using a 12’ injection tube to evenly dist

An area construction company had poured various sections of concrete at a nearby warehouse a few years ago. Due to slab curl, the sections had begun to move up and down when extreme pressure was applied to the loading dock and aisles throughout the warehouse.

Solution:

The contracting company and warehouse owners wanted to correct the problem so as not to cause more damage to the sections through stabilizing the joints and filling all voids below the slabs.  The construction company contacted RaiseRite Concrete Lifting to remedy the voids beneath the loading dock and to stabilize the joints at the warehouse.

RaiseRite sent out an expert, who was accompanied by a representative from the construction company, to diagnose the probl

There was a low spot across the 45′ span of Hwy. 22 off-ramp roadway from Hwy. 141. Traffic would dip as it traveled across the problem area, causing safety concerns to the county highway department.

Solution:

RaiseRite was commissioned to raise a 15X45′ section of Off-Ramp located in Oconto.  Polyurethane foam raising was selected as the best repair method to stabilize and raise the dip in the off ramp due to its expedient process and short cure times, allowing for less downtime and lower cost than replacement.

HMI RR401 polyurethane foam was injected under the slab filling voids and stabilizing the slab. In addition to stabilizing the slab, additional polyurethane was injected to raise the slab back to level. A total of 55

Challenge:

RaiseRite Concrete Lifting was called by a roadway contractor informing us that concrete roadway panels beneath the asphalt paving on I-94 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin had voids, leading to a rocking back and forth of the panels as trucks would drive over this portion of the road. The roadway contractor needed to stabilize the area within 36 hours. The work needed to be completed at night to avoid lane closures and traffic congestion.

Solution:

RaiseRite provided a quote to the roadway contractor. It was approved by the state DOT that polyurethane injection was the best solution to fix the area in question. Filling the voids to stabilize the concrete panels would provide minimum traffic disruption and expedite the necessary repairs.

Challenge:

Various areas of a 42 mile stretch along I-294 had experienced settlement, leading to dips and bumps that posed safety challenges for drivers. The project had to be completed during the night, due to the high traffic volumes of the tollway during the day and the inability to have lane closures restricting steady traffic flow. The project, due to size needed to be completed in five stages. The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority released a bid letting for the raising of the tollway transition, approach, and sleeper slabs using high density polyurethane foam. They required an experienced contractor solve the problem.

Solution:

The bid letting specifications called for a 6 lb./cu.ft. foam with a minimum tensile and compressive str
