Have you ever called your supplier for help and know instinctively that the person giving you advice on the phone is reading a script and obviously never used the product you need help with? Or when operating a piece of equipment – thinking out loud – “the person who designed this obviously never did this work!” HMI is committed to insure that no customer will have that experience with our concrete lifting products or our team.
THE GENESIS OF THE CULTURE
Over 43 years ago Ernie Cvetezar was operating “Raiserite Concrete Lifting” in Manitowoc, WI. He was dissatisfied with his mechanical mudpump. Over the winter season, decades ago, Ernie invented and built the first Hydraulic Mudpump. (The mainstay of the industry since that day.) When other contractors saw Ernie’s invention they wanted one. HMI was born because other contractors saw that a contractor who actually used the equipment designed and built equipment with features and functionality that increased their productivity.
THE CULTURE CONTINUES
Now as we prepare to cross into 2019, HMI’s sister company “Raiserite Concrete Lifting” continues to provide contracted concrete lifting and leveling services in northern Wisconsin. What is not widely known, is that every product HMI introduces to the market is used for months by its sister company in the field on real jobs by contractors deploying the trade daily. When Raiserite Crews would prefers to use the new product over the prior equipment – HMI knows it is ready to offer to you!
REPLICATING THE MODEL FOR SERVICE EXCELLENCE
Beyond serving as the ideal testing and quality control unit, Raiserite Concrete Lifting serves as the training ground for HMI personnel. When you talk to an HMI team member who services contractors or builds their equipment, you will probably find the team member worked a crew, did jobs and brings many years of pragmatic experience to the consultative process. The HMI team has OVER 250 years combined concrete raising industry experience. HMI’s contracting arm, RaiseRite, is our “farm system” for developing and perfecting expertise.

When you consider that being copied is the greatest form of praise, HMI feels complimented greatly -. on a daily basis. Recently we viewed marketing of a relatively new market entry introducing a mantra – “made by contractors, for contractors.” We smiled but felt the need to offer you the genesis of our claim and its legacy.
