Deep FoamJection™, an upgrade from sub-surface concrete raising, installs foam deeper than other applications in order to increase the load bearing capacity of soil. This type of concrete raising product can be used to install a strong foundation to support slabs and weakened structures, as well as filling fissures and ground voids. HMI HydroFOAM is hydro-sensitive, meaning that it can form high-quality foam even where water is present. This includes all phases of concrete raising from injections and reaction to the curing phase. HydroFOAM is engineered to provide superior dimensional stability and is best suited for deep injection applications and seawall repair jobs.

Polyurethane vs. Mudjacking

Polyurethane foam concrete raising is a superior alternative to traditional mudjacking for a number of reasons. Polyurethane foam is both lighter and less invasive, and has a faster cure time. Additionally, polyurethane foam concrete raising is a more environmentally-friendly method of concrete raising because it is non-toxic and does not contain any harmful chemicals. Mud can contain heavy metals and other pollutants, which can leach into the ground. Polyurethane foam offers many advantages over mudjacking, including:

  • Faster Curing: Time is of the essence when completing jobs, and polyurethane foam cures significantly faster than mudjacking. Mudjacking can take days to cure, while polyurethane foam allows for concrete slabs to be put back into use within hours of the injection process.
  • More Versatile: Mudjacking has limited uses, but polyurethane foam is incredibly versatile. Polyurethane foam can be used to lift a wide variety of concrete structures including sidewalks, driveways, patios, and pool decks.
  • Less Invasive: If you want less disruption to property and landscaping, polyurethane foam is the product to choose. Mudjacking is a more invasive process, while polyurethane foam requires smaller and fewer injection holes.
